Propylene Glycol Industrial
P-Glycol is a a -diol alcohol that is miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water, acetone, and chloroform. It falls within the same class of compounds as alcohols. It is produced on a large scale and is primarily used in the production of polymers, but also used in food processing, pharma and in airplane deicing applications. It is also used in waterbased acrylic architectural paints to extend dry time which it accomplishes by preventing the surface from drying due to its slower evaporation rate compared to water.
